This ring had us hooked from the first second - what first caught my eye was the hallmark - which after weeks of researching still eludes me. The anchor only seems to be associated with Birmingham - but this is not "THAT anchor", so it is going to have to remain a mystery. The gorgeous onyx face is framed beautifully by old 9ct rosey gold and has gorgeous raised striped edges and wonderful carved lines in the shoulders that end in lovely cross and dot details. It feels rich with history, one we have yet to unravel, but it feels like it has travelled many seas.
